Tips To Help Buyers Succeed in a Competitive Market

Are you considering buying a home but are worried about facing a multiple-offer situation? If so, know that I have a few strategies that will help buyers win. I recently helped a client get the house of their dreams with a few of my competitive strategies, and I’m sharing some with you today:

1. Offer over list price. If you have flexibility in your budget, this will set you apart.

2. Include a summary page. This outlined all of the terms and conditions that we were offering. We took care of every detail and put it all in an electronic form so it was easy to read. Our offer being visually clean set us apart from the competition, and it represented how we would work throughout the entire process.

3. Get a recommendation from your lender. We sent a letter from the buyer’s lender to the seller showing that they could purchase the property. We also had the lender call the seller to personally tell them that the buyer was capable of going through with the deal. The seller’s agent says this put us over the edge and helped us win.
