Here’s why listing your home during the holiday season makes sense.
Should you list your house during the holidays? Contrary to popular belief, this time of year is actually a fantastic opportunity to sell your property. Here are some of the reasons why this is the case:
1. Inventory is low. There are fewer homes are on the market during these months, meaning you’ll have less competition.
2. Buyers are more serious. They have to be serious buyers if they’re out there looking for a home despite the cold, rain, or snow.
3. Some people may need to move. A lot of people have just gotten new jobs for next year. Again, this goes back to those serious buyers who need to find a home that’s closer to where they work.
During the holidays, you may have family and friends coming over, which may make it difficult to show your home to prospective buyers. When this happens, my advice is to block off those dates. That way, you have control over your schedule.
